The event included a second round, in which the colleges modelled the clothing of various prominent brands, including Celio, People, Tonga Fashion House, Jealous 21, John Players, Esprit and Flying Machine, as well as the ethnic brands Deepam and Kalanjali.

Heightening the glamour quotient of the evening was the Graduation Dresses on Sale of celebrity judges: Actresses Priyanka Upendra and Sanjjanaa, fashion designers Manoviraj Khosla and Namrata G, as well as Irfan Shaik, the model, were floored by the myriad of colours, styles and moods that the contestants put before them. 

Mount Carmel College emerged as the winners of the Metrolife Fashion Show. Their collection, which they referred to as 'futuristic yet chic', included fitted cream-coloured dresses, set off with strappy heels and glittery makeup. The first runner-up of the show was Dayananda Sagar School of Information Technology, whose team offered the audience a sneak peek into the quirky lives of GenY. The girls wore a range of brightly coloured outfits accessorised with pearls, whereas the boys kept it simple in Bermuda shorts and shirts. 

The second runner-up was the team from the M S Little Black Dresses on Sale College of Arts and Science, who chose to exhibit the importance of divinity in their generation's lives. Sporting dreadlocks, chunky and beaded jewellery and printed tee shirts, they wowed the judges.
