The second day is observed by fasting where devotees eat only kheer at the end of the day. On the third day, the devotees fast for the entire day. In the evening, they go to a river or pond and worship the Sun and offer argyha, immersed in the water. The next and the last day, they offer arghya to the rising Sun, which marks the end of the festival. Lighting arrangements were made at the riverbanks across the city, where people from various communities gathered to participate in the celebration. Chhath was celebrated across the city on different water bodies in the town like Kanke Dam, Line Tank, Rukka Dam, Bada Talab, Jail Talab, Distillery pond, Dhurwa Dam, Joda Talaab, Hatania Pond etc where devotees Red Bridesmaid Dresses participated in the festival.
